Mulching is a process where you have an attachment on a tractor or excavator that has a shaft that has teeth on it that spins at high speed. With a slow forward speed over your vegetation or brash the machine will turn it all into small pieces or chips which will then rot down over time.

Our biggest mulcher technically can mulch a 200mm diameter log. In practice though, it is often a better option to gut out all of the biggest cordwood and trunks and then to mulch the remaining vegetation. Our excavator mounted mulcher is great for clearing overgrowth on hedges, brambles, nettles, saplings, bushes, etc. It could clear in one day more than 20 people could do with hand tools in the same amount of time.

Yes, if the hedge has significant overgrowth then our excavator mounted mulcher is ideal to deal with that. If it is much lighter growth then we also have a tractor mounted hedge cutter and also an excavator mounted reciprocating knife.
